Haa, I've had a mighty need to draw Dororo since I got Volume 8 of Sgt. Frog the other day (well, I wanted to draw him since I got 7, but I never really got around to it). There's something just so loveable about him! XD (He's so formal, too!) And he's a Ninja, which is instant cool right there.
I know it looks a wee bit empty, but I was going for an open, kinda relaxing feel; something free of all that clutter, y'know? I'm trying to get better at backgrounds, too, so for this picture I colored the majority of the backdrop before Dororo himself. I guess he's drinking tea, or something (this was kind've inspired by part of a chapter in 8, where he was doing the samse thing). No, I really have no idea how he eats anything. Everytime you see him eating something he's still got the mask on XD How peculiar!
Sketched in openCanvas, but the bulk of it in Photoshop Elements.
Awww Dororo!!! I love him! He's great! ^_^ Very nic pic, I think you definietly conveyed the peaceful feeling you were going for. He looks serene and so NINJA LIKE! XD yes the traditional drinking of tea, I guess it goes through his mask hehehe! I like it, good job! ~_^--b

This is great. Nice colouring and background too, and it all looks so calm. You really are good at drawing the tribe ^_^ Hope you do more of these drawings. Have you drawn Kururu? He just plain ROCKS (Even though he's a jerk...)
